Trauma Intensives

Healing from chronic, early, or overwhelming trauma often requires more than a traditional once-a-week therapy format. Trauma intensives offer a focused, accelerated healing experience designed for clients who are ready to go deeper into their trauma work in a supported, structured, and personalized way.

Our intensives are designed specifically for individuals navigating the complex aftermath of:

  • Childhood sexual abuse
  • Complex PTSD (C-PTSD)
  • Attachment and developmental trauma
  • Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and other dissociative disorders

What Are Trauma Therapy Intensives?

Trauma intensives are extended sessions or multi-day therapy experiences tailored to meet your individual needs and goals. They allow for deeper processing of trauma without the interruption and limitations of weekly therapy. Each intensive is structured to provide a safe, contained space for in-depth healing and integration using trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches.

By concentrating therapy into 1-3 days, these intensives allow for a profound exploration of trauma, fostering greater self-awareness and facilitating accelerated healing.

Trauma Intensive Process

Trauma intensives are ideal for you if:

  • You’ve experienced childhood trauma or long-term abuse and feel stuck in traditional therapy
  • You have a dissociative disorder and need to address parts conflict or work on a specific piece of memory
  • You’ve done some trauma work but need a focused boost to move through an emotional block
  • You’re traveling from out of town for specialized trauma treatment
  • You need a safe, accelerated container for healing without long-term therapy commitments
  • Are ready for deeper healing work

Please note: Trauma intensives are not appropriate for clients in active crisis or without basic stabilization. If you’re unsure if you’re a good fit, we can explore that in a consultation.

Our approach combines powerful, trauma-informed modalities that support deep healing and nervous system regulation:

    • IFS (Internal Family Systems)/Parts Work
Gently helps you build relationships with your inner parts—especially those carrying trauma—and develop a compassionate, connected internal system.
    • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
Supports the reprocessing of traumatic memories and promotes integration so they no longer dominate your present experience.
    • Brainspotting
Uses eye positioning to access deeper layers of trauma stored in the body and subconscious mind, especially effective with dissociative clients.

We offer a range of formats to meet your needs and readiness:

  • Half-Day Intensives (2.5–3 hours)
Great for deepening work with specific parts, memories, or symptoms.
  • Full-Day Intensives (5–6 hours with breaks)
Ideal for focused trauma processing, resourcing, and integration work.
  • Multi-Day Intensives (1–3 days)
Best for complex trauma histories, dissociation, or when traveling from out of town.

All intensives include:

  • A pre-intensive consultation to determine readiness and goals
  • A customized treatment plan based on your history and current needs
  • Integration tools and post-intensive follow-up recommendations
  • Optional coordination with your existing therapist

Each intensive is a personalized experience designed to meet you exactly where you are, using the approaches that best support your healing process.

If you’re interested in a Trauma Therapy Intensive, the first step is a brief consultation to explore whether this format is the right fit for you. Details regarding scheduling options can be addressed during our consultation call based on your specific needs.
