How we help you heal

We work collaboratively with each person to help find his or her own unique path to growth. We create a safe and caring environment where you will have the opportunity to freely explore and express yourself. We believe people have the answers to their own life challenges, but that life events, stress, tragedy, illness, or other factors, at times, interfere and block the ability to find the answers needed.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an integrative therapeutic approach that helps get emotional memories and feelings unstuck from the nervous system. EMDR is very useful in working with "Big traumas" such as sexual assault, incest, rape, physical abuse, natural disasters, car accidents, or "Little traumas" such as being teased for your looks, being humiliated in public, etc.
Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of other challenging symptoms. Brainspotting works with the deep brain and the body through its direct access to the autonomic and limbic systems within the body’s central nervous system.
If you are living with traumatic events from your past, such as insult, abuse, humiliation, or violence, individual therapy could be a safe space to address these injuries. We become traumatized when our capacity to respond to a perceived threat is in some way overwhelmed. Trauma impairs our ability to connect to ourselves, to our bodies, to others, and to the world. Trauma is stored in the body.
